In addition to the component configurator, swisspor has also fully digitized several technical support services. Customers can access these via the self-service portal, for which they need a user account.

  • Once the configuration is complete, the gross prices for three system design variants (Best Practice, Eco, Premium) are generated, ensuring transparency and optimal comparability.
  • The configurator also performs an ecological assessment.
  • An integrated U-value calculator precisely calculates the value for the selected system configuration variants in the background and also makes product suggestions on request.
  • Technical documentation is generated automatically.
  • The configurator also generates a visualization of the system configuration.
  • The tender text for the selected products, which is automatically generated by the configurator, can be used directly for tenders if required.
  • It is also possible to issue a system warranty for the configured product.
  • Configurations and construction projects can be managed via the online portal, and the associated documents can be downloaded at any time.

Sitewerk CPQ Framework – a Solid Foundation with Options for Scaling

The CPQ framework developed by Sitewerk as the backbone for the flat roof configurator is a flexible modular system for configurator solutions and has an extremely modular structure. The user interface is individually designed and built outside of Sitewerk CPQ. It communicates with Sitewerk CPQ via a standardized interface (REST API). Communication with the swisspor peripheral systems (PIM, Microsoft EntraID, etc.) is handled by individually developed connectors that support the import and export of data. The configurator solution as a whole is hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

A major advantage of the Sitewerk CPQ framework is that components can be reused and do not have to be completely redesigned in the event of another configurator project for swisspor. If swisspor decides to add further product configurators in the building envelope sector, additional product configurators could be created quickly and efficiently using the core developed individually for them and tailored to their processes.
